The SMEC Foundation’s commitment to Herlina Kilala, a student from the Mala’bi’ Orphanage in Sulawesi, continued in 2008-2009 with the SMEC Foundation supporting her second year of a Bachelor of Education (majoring in English) at the Indonesian Christian University.
Herlina is performing well at university and is on track to complete her degree in 2010 and fulfil her dream of becoming a teacher. In a letter to the SMEC Foundation, Herlina expressed her gratitude for the support she has been provided. The SMEC Foundation continues to follow her progress with a keen interest.
